I see that the debate on the forth coming referendum for Scottish Independence is now in full flow with the Yes vote finally in the ascendency. I myself, of Celtic origin, can’t understand how it’s taken so long for the Yes vote to gain the upper-hand. The Union is dead. It was never a happy one to begin with. It was a forced marriage based upon historical English tyranny. The English raped, murdered and pillaged Scotland for centuries. That is now coming to an end. It is now over. The Union is dead.
I urge every right-minded Scot not to be deflected by the English propaganda currently trying to keep Scotland under the yoke. Let Scotland finally be free. Vote YES.
I wonder what William Wallace would be thinking TODAY if he were alive? Or all the Scottish souls who fought, bleed & sacrificed their lives trying to get to this moment in time on the battle fields of Scotland? Freedom. Freedom to be Scottish. Freedom to have their own identity, freedom to make their own decisions. Free men & women proud to be who & what they are. Scottish.
I can think of no finer rallying call for the Yes campaign & the fight for Scottish Independence than the speech of William Wallace from “Braveheart”:
“I am William Wallace. I see a whole army of my countrymen,
here in defiance of tyranny! You have come to fight as free men. And
free man you are! What will you do without freedom? Will you fight?”
“Two thousand against ten?” – the veteran shouted. “No! We will
run – and live!”
“Yes!” Wallace shouted back. “Fight and you may die. Run and you
will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now,
would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for
one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell
our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take
our freedom!”
Freedom is in your hands. You only have to say “YES”
