The Vatican is probably rich enough to bail the Euro out. Most of the Euro countries are dominantly Roman Catholic, I suggest the church could give to the needy!
Many businesses, in the Iberian peninsula for instance, are preparting tactical plans in case the Euro does dissolve in order to carry on operations. Therefore if it does, it won’t have the staggering effect that you’d expect (It would still be pretty bad).
But I don’t think anyone would appreciate all the legwork involved in fragmenting a major currency and so will work hard to save as much of it as possible.
No, not in its current form. Ireland will be out, Greece will be out, Italy will stay in. Basically the old Roman Empire will re-form.
