Aurelian Oil & Gas;

Announced that the first Bieszczady exploration well in Poland had produced gas and condensate from a potential commercial zone above the primary targets. The depth of the well as at 21 April was aprrox’ 3,850 metres  the primary targets are between 4,000 and 4,800 metres.

Bowleven;

Spud the Sapele-2 well offshore Cameroon In mid-March to appraise the Omicron discoveries encountered in the Sapele-1 exploration well. News could come from Sapele-2 toward the end of May.  Bowleven will also  report results of the drill stem testing programme at the Sapele-1 sidetrack well.

Cove Energy;

Are thought to have extrapolated the March cores that were taken from the Windjammer/ Lagosta discovery wells offshore Mozambique, this will now be followed by an initial 4 to 5 appraisal well programme with well testing.

Gulfsands Petroleum;

Expect NEWS/results any time  from the Abu Ghazal-1 exploration well and the KHE-101 appraisal well in Syria. Back in early April the company announced that the drilling of the Sidi Dhaher exploration well in Tunisia was imminent.

Matra Petroleum;

Immenent news is expected on the A12 and A13 wells. Where MTA are targeting production rates in excess of 1000 BOPD.
Max Petroleum;

Began drilling the ZMA-ET2 appraisal well further to the south of the recently drilled ZMA-ET1 well. The objective is to further extend Triassic production and reserves in the Zhana Makat Field on Block E. The total depth of the well will be approx’ 1,500 metres targeting the Triassic reservoirs.

Nostra Terra Oil & Gas;

Market rumours of further asset buys from NTOG could be released this month.

Petroceltic International;

Are on course at their AT-5 appraisal well in Algeria which  is currently drilling the horizontal section ahead of well testing.

Petro Matad;

Restarted drilling operations at the Davsan Tolgoi-4 well in Mongolia following the local winter shut down last  December 2010. The well had been suspended at a depth of 1,271 metres and is now drilling towards the target depth of 2,020 metres.

Rockhopper Exploration;

Have  lined up a four well continuous drilling programme, the first of which will be an appraisal well near the Sea Lion discovery well. Once the four well drilling programme is complete RKH hope to have an extensive 3D seismic model in place.

Range Resources;
Are set to announce the spud of its first exploration well in Georgia. And news could come from their USA assets.

Salamander Energy;

Recently spud the  Dao Ruang-3 appraisal well in Thailand with a 45day estimate. While offshore the company expects to spud the South Sebuku-2 appraisal well on the Bengara-1 PSC in mid-May. The South Sebuku-2 well wil appraise the 2009 South Sebuku gas discovery.

Sterling Energy;

Much maligned SEY have suffered long delays due to mechanical problems with the Sangaw North-1 exploration well in Kurdistan, the company now expect to complete drilling and logging operations before the end of May.

    what about encore its right under our noses in the North Sea,will tell us how much oil is in the cladham by the end of this month

    USOP Us Oil & Gas are soon to drill their Eblana1 well in Nevada with a target of 187million barrels and the drillbit guaranteed to hit oil.
    For a £19million company, thats a big first drill.

    You omitted to mention that MXP are nearing TD on the ASK-1 exploration well on the Asanketken prospect in Block E, targetting 50mmboe with a COS of 48% in the Triassic formation, which has increased due them hitting commercial viable oil in the Jurassic formation last month.
